Role Overview
As a Product Consultant at Smollan, you will be an integral part of our brand awareness and customer satisfaction strategy. Your role will focus on maintaining product visibility, ensuring shelf health, implementing promotions, and building strong relationships with both customers and clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about sales, customer service, and marketing in the FMCG sector.

Product Consultant Key Responsibilities

• Administration: Manage product-related documentation, reporting, and inventory to ensure smooth operations.

• Shelf Health: Monitor and maintain product displays, ensuring that all products are visible, well-stocked, and correctly priced.

• Promotion Implementation: Execute in-store promotions effectively to boost product visibility and sales.

• Customer Satisfaction and Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.

• In-store Sales and Marketing: Support sales activities by engaging with customers, driving product awareness, and achieving sales targets.

• Drive Sells Out: Promote the sell-through of products to ensure that sales goals are met and exceeded.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Matric or equivalent qualification.

• Diploma/NQF Level 5 qualification is preferred.

• 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in Telecommunications or FMCG.

• Strong sales acumen and the ability to identify and act on sales opportunities.

• Solid understanding of marketing principles and how they relate to sales performance.

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with customers.

• Proficient in administration, with good organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

• Computer literacy – proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
