Role Overview
The Automotive Apprentice (Petrol/ Diesel) will participate in an extensive apprenticeship program designed to equip candidates with the practical skills and knowledge required to become qualified Motor Mechanics. Under the guidance of qualified technicians, the apprentice will gain hands-on experience in vehicle repairs and will be expected to complete MerSETA requirements to qualify within three years.
Key Responsibilities

Attend scheduled technical/level training courses.

Assist in the repair of vehicles under the supervision of a qualified Technician to gain practical experience.

Prepare for level tests to qualify as a Petrol or Diesel Mechanic within three years.

Assist with housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in good condition.

Follow workplace safety protocols, conduct rules, and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements:

Grade 10 with Pure Maths or Technical Maths and Science.

Completed N2 or higher (with Motor Theory).

NCV Level 4 (with Pure Maths).

For Diesel Apprenticeships, applicants must have N2 with a Diesel Theory qualification.
