Role Overview:
DSV is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist to support the Business Support team at its Centurion branch. This role plays a critical function in managing financial operations, reporting, procurement, and compliance within a dynamic logistics environment. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong financial acumen, operational understanding, and administrative expertise to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchasing and invoice documentation.

  • Capture and verify staff timesheets, leave forms, and overtime claims; liaise with Labour Brokers and Payroll.

  • Oversee asset procurement processes and conduct quarterly audits on asset registers.

  • Raise client invoices weekly/monthly and manage supporting documentation through DSV’s invoicing systems.

  • Review financial reports including P&L statements and participate in monthly reporting and journal submissions.

  • Monitor DSO reports and maintain healthy client relationships to address outstanding balances.

  • Manage the Webcost system for supplier queries, coding reviews, and credit notes.

  • Collate and present operational financial performance reports and cost analyses to branch managers.

  • Track and report on KPIs and operational metrics, highlighting variances and areas for improvement.

  • Provide comprehensive admin and financial support for branch-level operations including ISO Quality Management compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)

  • National Diploma in Accounting or Finance (Essential)

  • Studying towards or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting (Advantageous)

Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in financial administration or warehouse operations

  • Familiarity with logistics, warehousing, or production environments

  • Proficient in SAP ERP, Webcost, ICS, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)

  • Previous experience with WMS and financial systems is advantageous
