🔍 About the Role

As a Surveillance Officer, you’ll be responsible for monitoring security systems, ensuring operational compliance, and proactively detecting any irregular or suspicious activity. You’ll serve as the first line of defense, working alongside field security officers and management to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live surveillance feeds to detect betting irregularities, theft, or policy violations.
• Ensure operational compliance with all security procedures and gaming regulations.
• Identify suspicious behavior from staff or patrons and report to the Surveillance Manager.
• Conduct real-time checks on cleanliness, loitering, cellphone usage, and overall orderliness.
• Respond to emergencies by coordinating with SAPS (10111), security response teams, paramedics, and fire services.
• Assist with investigations and compile detailed reports on incidents.
• Provide backup and real-time support to on-ground security teams.

🛠️ Minimum Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Report writing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and analyze security risks in real-time

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

• Grade C Security Certificate (advantageous)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in surveillance or the broader security industry
• Knowledge of betting systems and fraud detection
