🔧 Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and oversee maintenance work schedules, inspections, and equipment repairs

Ensure all machinery, appliances, and facility systems are running at peak performance

Conduct routine inspections to identify faults and maintenance needs across the facility

Supervise repair work to minimize downtime and avoid disruptions in distribution operations
-
Maintain clear and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders and service logs
-
Manage and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring timely availability
-
Coordinate emergency repairs and respond swiftly to equipment failures or hazards
-
Plan, assign, and lead maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies

Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, and facility equipment

Assess infrastructure and systems to plan necessary upgrades or improvements
🎓 Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12)

Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Plumbing / General Maintenance

Trade Test qualification (advantageous)

At least 3+ years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role — preferably in a logistics, warehouse, or industrial environment

Solid knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques, equipment diagnostics, and compliance regulations

Ability to lead a team and prioritize work effectively

Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication, record-keeping, and time management abilities

Must be hands-on and comfortable working in a dynamic, high-demand environment

Strong understanding of occupational health and safety protocols
