📋 Role Overview: AML Administrator
The AML Administrator role is essential to maintaining and supporting the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance program at Sanlam Investment Group. In this capacity, you will assist the AML team in ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, screening clients, and maintaining accurate AML records.
🔑 Key Responsibilities

Assist in KYC documentation: Review, maintain, and update KYC information and client records.

Screen clients and linked parties: Help with the screening process using AML systems, investigating alerts, and clearing screening alerts within ORMS and SIRON dashboards.

Risk rating: Assist in assessing and rating client risk using the Sanlam risk rating tool.

Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): Support the team in the EDD process, ensuring compliance with AML regulations.

Compliance monitoring: Adhere to AML/CFT/CPF (Counter Financing of Terrorism / Counter Proliferation Financing) regulatory processes and procedures.

Project assistance: Support AML projects and ensure timely regulatory reporting for Money Laundering Reporting Officers.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Help create and maintain internal documentation and SOPs for AML processes.
🎓 Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 / Matric (essential)

2 to 3 years of experience in AML compliance, administrative support, or financial services.

Basic understanding of AML regulations and compliance processes.
