📋 Role Overview: Admin Clerk – Recoveries and Liabilities
This exciting opportunity in the Outsourced Recoveries Service space is ideal for someone who can coordinate with external legal service providers, manage diary systems, and ensure claims and recovery processes run smoothly. You’ll act as a vital link between clients, brokers, attorneys, and internal teams.
🔑 Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage handover documentation to external attorneys.

Appoint and liaise with service providers including debt collectors and attorneys.

Grant service providers access to Santam’s internal claims systems (AJS/Claims Center).

Gather and upload supporting documentation required for recoveries.

Maintain up-to-date notes and claim profiles on the system.

Handle client and broker queries with professionalism and accuracy.

Ensure timely follow-ups and diary management for recoveries matters.

Collaborate with brokers, underwriters, and internal departments for smooth claim processing.

Conduct ad hoc administrative tasks related to data validation and reporting.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric (essential)

Paralegal or Legal Secretary qualification (advantageous)

Knowledge of civil litigation processes (advantageous)
🧠 Experience Requirements

At least 2 years’ experience in the insurance industry, especially in subrogation recoveries or indemnities.

Familiarity with working in legal recoveries or debt collection environments.

Experience with claims systems such as AJS and Claims Center.
