Job Overview

Nedbank is seeking an experienced Principal: Corporate Sales to drive financial objectives in key market segments through strategic client engagement and stakeholder relationship management. This role is focused on structuring lending transactions, maximizing revenue, and expanding market share within the Nedbank Africa Region’sstrategic framework.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and Nedbank’s value proposition.

  • Work closely with internal teams across Nedbank clusters to align objectives and strategy.

  • Collaborate with external partners to drive business growth.

2. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement a divisional sales strategy to achieve financial objectives.

  • Support subsidiary teams in structuring and booking lending transactions.

  • Lead pricing analysis, financial modeling, and transaction structuring.

  • Ensure execution of the Client Value Proposition (CVP) and Value Delivery System (VDS).

  • Provide sales intelligence and innovative solutions to enhance revenue and reduce risks.

3. Financial Growth & Risk Management

  • Identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities while reducing financial risks.

  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities to optimize strategies.

  • Participate in credit committee discussions and risk management processes.

  • Contribute to policy formulation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Develop a people strategy that fosters a high-performance culture.

  • Empower and mentor the team to deliver innovative business solutions.

  • Align divisional strategies with Nedbank’s overall vision and values.

  • Drive transformation initiatives by supporting diversity, inclusion, and CSI projects.

5. Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Monitor sales performance and produce reports for key business committees.

  • Improve divisional sales policies and procedures based on data-driven insights.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance business operations.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Education Requirements

  • Essential Qualification:

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

    • Diploma in a relevant field

  • Preferred Qualification:

    • Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or

    • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a related market.

  • 5+ years of senior management experience (10 years total).
