This program is designed to provide practical experience in cash handling, reconciliation, and financial processing while ensuring strict compliance with banking and security regulations.

Key Responsibilities
As a Cash Processor, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of cash transactions. Your daily duties will include:
1. Cash Receiving & Preparation
✅ Receive and process cash deposits accurately using applicable systems.
✅ Check bags/containers for damages or tampering, reporting anomalies immediately.
✅ Ensure proper workstation setup for effective cash processing.
2. Cash Sorting & Reconciliation
✅ Sort and verify banknotes according to SBV standards (FDP/ACDP).
✅ Handle rejected notes, counterfeits, and discrepancies, reporting to the Team Controller.
✅ Perform daily balancing and reconciliation of all transactions.
3. Desktop Deposit Processing
✅ Validate deposit account numbers to prevent misallocation of funds.
✅ Process and balance deposits within bank SLA timeframes.
✅ Identify and escalate system downtime or processing delays.
4. Coin Processing & Treasury Functions
✅ Process bulk coin deposits and ATM cash packing in compliance with security protocols.
✅ Maintain accurate records of bin registers, seals, and transaction details.
5. Payroll & Change Handling
✅ Ensure accurate processing of payroll and float transactions within required SLAs.
✅ Safeguard and seal cash in drop-safe bags before dispatch.
6. Compliance & Governance
✅ Adhere to SBV’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards.
✅ Support ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) initiatives.
7. Equipment Maintenance & Operational Excellence
✅ Properly operate and maintain cash processing equipment.
✅ Report any technical issues for immediate resolution.
Minimum Requirements
📌 Education:
✔ Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths Literacy – Required
📌 Experience:
✔ 6 months of cashier/teller experience – Advantageous
📌 Training & Certifications:
✔ Successfully completed SBV Cash Processor Training – Required
