Job Overview:

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Store Cleaner for their Potchefstroom store. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the store, stockroom, dispensary, admin office, and canteen according to Dis-Chem’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Cleaning: Ensure the store, shop floor, and communal areas are clean before the store opens.
• Routine Development: Develop routines for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store.
• Restroom and Canteen Maintenance: Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked with necessary products.
• On-Demand Cleaning: Available to clean during operational hours as required.
• Safety: Ensure the correct cleaning products and equipment are used, and place wet floor signs as needed.
• Customer Assistance: Be friendly, professional, and assist customers when necessary.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Perform cleaning duties in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum 6 months’ cleaning experience
• Sound command of the English language
• Basic customer service skills
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Bilingual
• Previous retail store cleaning experience
