Job Description:
As a Mining Trainer, your key responsibility will be to deliver impactful training programs within the operations, focusing on enhancing employee skills, safety, and performance. You will contribute to fostering a safe, knowledgeable, and efficient workforce, essential for the company’s success.
Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Health:
- Apply safety and health principles consistently and take personal responsibility to ensure zero harm.

Training Delivery:
- Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and simulations for employees across various job functions.
- Use adult learning principles and instructional design techniques to create effective learning experiences.
- Adapt training content and methods to suit the learning needs of participants and enhance retention.

Subject Matter Expertise:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in areas like safety procedures, equipment operation, technical skills, or compliance.

Assessments and Feedback:
- Administer assessments and practical evaluations to measure learning outcomes.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to participants for improvement.

Training Coordination:
- Assist with scheduling, logistics, room setup, equipment preparation, and participant registration for training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, training completion, and assessments.

Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes and integrate them into training materials.
- Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to improve training programs.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- OD-ETDP NQF4
- Assessor Certificate and Registered Technical Discipline-specific qualifications (authorization required).
- Moderator certificate is advantageous.

Experience and Skills:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of training principles, adult learning methods, and safety regulations.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive learning environment and adapt training methods as needed.

Additional Information:
- Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s license.
- Medical certificate of fitness.
- Willingness to travel as required.
