Job Description:
The Cleaning Manager will oversee the daily operations of the cleaning services at one or more sites, ensuring that the quality of service meets the specific site agreements (SLA). The role involves managing cleaning staff, handling client relationships, ensuring that cleaning methodologies align with company standards, and overseeing financial and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
- Take full responsibility for managing the cleaning operations on the site.
- Allocate resources efficiently to achieve maximum cleaning output while adhering to SLAs.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain high service standards.
- Ensure job schedules and work cards are implemented for each position.
- Oversee the upkeep of unit files and compliance with TCS policies and procedures.

Client Relations:
- Proactively respond to client requests and concerns.
- Schedule regular meetings with clients to review service standards.
- Maintain strong client relationships to ensure contract retention and reduce the risk of cancellations.

Staff Management:
- Manage daily human resources and industrial relations issues according to company policies.
- Ensure that staff members are trained and well-equipped to perform their tasks.
- Conduct performance appraisals and identify training needs.
- Manage time sheets and attendance and ensure adherence to company rules.

Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS) for site-specific requirements.

Unit Finances:
- Actively manage the budget for the unit, including leave plans, overtime, and consumable purchases.
- Ensure all rechargeable work is billed to the client and debtors are collected on time.

General Responsibilities:
- Maintain high morale and motivation within the team.
- Ensure adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
- Represent the company brand professionally at all times.
Qualifications:

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 yearsβ experience in a similar middle management role.
- Experience in the commercial industry is highly advantageous.
- Experience in managing large teams.

Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage staff schedules and cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Strong understanding of cleaning principles and company policies.

- Knowledge of industrial relations and staff management practices.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing demands.
