About the Role

As a Senior Salesforce UX Designer at Capitec, you will lead product and UX design initiatives across digital platforms. Your work will focus on solving complex design challenges, driving innovation, and advocating for users through design thinking. You’ll lead high-impact design projects from concept to implementation, mentor junior and mid-level designers, and contribute to the overall UX vision and strategy. This role also involves creating design systems, conducting usability testing, and ensuring seamless user experiences across Capitec’s digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of designers, driving UX design excellence.
• Solve complex design challenges and advocate for users in cross-functional teams.
• Lead design workshops and create sophisticated user flows and interaction patterns.
• Develop and maintain design systems, prototypes, and usability testing programs.
• Contribute to the overall UX vision and product strategy.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusive design principles are followed.
• Collaborate with product, tech, and business teams to drive design direction.

What You’ll Need

Education:

• Minimum: Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational.
• Degree or diploma in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Interface Design, or related field.

Experience:

• 5-7 years of professional UX design experience with a proven track record of leading design initiatives.
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level designers.
• Strong expertise in UX design principles and methodologies.
• Deep understanding of design systems architecture and research methodologies.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and set design visions.
• Strong planning, coordination, and relationship management skills.
