Job Purpose:

To deliver an exceptional customer shopping experience through efficient stock replenishment, merchandising, housekeeping, and processing transactions at the till points. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, performance-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

   • Provide excellent service by assisting customers in finding products and answering their queries.
   • Ensure a positive and memorable shopping experience for all customers.

2. Cashier Duties:

   • Process cash and card payments accurately.
   • Handle lay-bys, customer refunds, and report discrepancies.
   • Balance the till and ensure accuracy in transactions.

3. Merchandising & Housekeeping:

   • Ensure stock is correctly priced and displayed on the sales floor.
   • Keep the store clean, neat, and well-stocked.
   • Stay updated with current promotions and ensure proper product availability.

4. Risk Management:

   • Ensure products are tagged in accordance with company policy.
   • Participate in stock takes and assist with identifying discrepancies.
   • Report any suspicious behavior and potential risks, such as theft or fraud, to management.

5. Adherence to Policies:

   • Consistently live and uphold Ackermans’ values, policies, and procedures in all aspects of your work.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude towards helping customers.
• Communication: Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
• Energy & Motivation: High energy, self-motivation, and target-driven with a strong work ethic.
• Retail Experience: Previous experience in retail is advantageous.
• Tenacity: Able to stay focused and driven in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
