Job Description
The Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and guidance to cashiers, distributing work evenly, auditing their work, and assisting with customer service and authorization issues. The role also involves managing cash handling, till floats, and reconciling bank statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Cashiers: Provide leadership, distribute work, and audit cashiers’ work.
- Payment Processing: Oversee payment processing and cash handling.
- Cash Management: Manage till floats and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Authorization Management: Handle authorizations and assist cashiers with customer service issues.
- Admin and Support: Perform general administrative duties and provide support to staff and customers.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 (essential)
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position (advantageous)
- Admin and numeracy skills
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of relevant systems and products
