Job Description
The Buyer will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing and replenishment of stock, ensuring that only approved suppliers are used, maintaining stock levels within pre-determined limits, and minimizing stock-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing of products
- Managing out-of-stock and low-stock products
- Administration of stock-related tasks
- Supplier chain follow-up
- Coaching and supporting the team
- Coordinating and building relationships with suppliers
- Upholding and promoting the company values and culture
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 (essential)
- Relevant post-school qualification (NQF5), ideally with a Retail/Procurement focus (desirable)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position within a computerized retail environment (essential)
