Job Purpose
The New Accounts Consultant assists with opening new accounts, focusing on FICA/KYC compliance, while ensuring data integrity. The role involves requesting and resolving outstanding or incorrect information with various stakeholders and reporting or acting on errors within the account origination KYC process and other manual remediation tasks.

Areas of Responsibility
Ensuring completeness and quality of new business remediation and updating client information within agreed SLAs.
Accurately classifying, registering, routing, and indexing documentation manually or on the system.
Taking action on incomplete information by liaising with clients, third parties, or stakeholders (e.g., Brokers, Corporate BPs).
Achieving specified production targets, turnaround times, and handle times.
Supporting internal stakeholders with remediation activities.
Engaging with clients regarding required documents, queries, and FICA compliance.
Keeping up to date with legislative and industry changes, including FIC Act, FAIS, and POPI.

Education and Experience
Relevant degree.
At least 1 year’s experience in data capturing, servicing, operations, or administrative environments.
At least 1 year’s experience in a new business or client acquisition role within Financial Services (preferred).
Shift work may be required.
Proficiency in computer literacy, including Excel.
