Key Responsibilities
✔ Operate the Labeller – Ensure correct machine settings and operation for accurate labelling.
✔ Label Management – Verify that the right labels are used, properly aligned, and ensure no overlapping.
✔ Date Coder Management – Ensure date coders are working correctly, printing clearly, and settings are accurate.
✔ Waste Management – Minimize waste streams and monitor machine availability.
✔ Machine Maintenance – Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of the labeller machine as instructed.
✔ Quality Checks – Regularly inspect containers and labels for quality and ensure labels are applied correctly (pearlescence, straight neck, etc.).
✔ Team Coordination – Communicate with the Team Leader about label stock and any issues.
✔ Documentation – Maintain QMS documentation and report any faults or issues promptly.
✔ Flavour Change Oversight – Ensure smooth operations during flavour changes, including machine size changes and proper setup.
✔ General Cleaning – Keep the area clean and ensure a safe, healthy working environment.
Minimum Requirements
✔ Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
✔ Experience: - 1 year working with labelling equipment
- 1 year experience in the beverage industry
✔ Skills: - Strong technical skills and ability to perform machine troubleshooting and maintenance.
