Job Summary

Clover Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) is seeking a qualified and Tetrapak-experienced Technician to ensure high reliability of allocated filling lines while supporting other lines. The role involves fault-finding, root cause analysis, maintenance schedules, and effective communication with the maintenance and production teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Applicable Trade Qualification (e.g., Millwright, Fitter, or Electrician)
  • Relevant experience in filling line maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of job-related concepts, techniques, and processes
  • Computer literacy (Advanced level)
  • Valid Code 08 Driver’s License
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Fault Finding

  • Perform fault-finding and troubleshooting on filling lines
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventative measures
  • Develop, revise, and execute maintenance schedules
  • Plan and perform routine services and scheduled maintenance
  • Ensure the availability of essential parts in stock
  • Manage spare parts inventory for scheduled services

2. Reporting & Communication

  • Provide daily maintenance reports
  • Document and report breakdowns after call-outs
  • Share lessons learned with the team for process improvement
  • Lead service and maintenance for an allocated line
  • Report on major stops and required actions
  • Complete job cards and maintenance schedules

3. Ad-hoc Activities

  • Adhere to and promote workplace safety standards
  • Report and rectify unsafe working conditions
  • Participate in the standby roster and perform overtime as needed
  • Deliver weekly technical training to the team
