Job Purpose
To operate cash registers, accurately process acceptable methods of payment, and resolve customer queries efficiently.

Key Performance Areas

• Provide awesome customer service to ensure a WOW experience for customers.
• Attend to each customer’s unique shopping needs, always prioritizing customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to customer service standards, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
• Sell goods and promote add-on sales/services at the point of sale (POS).
• Prepare for the start of the day and accept all transactions according to company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Adhere to merchandising and housekeeping standards and schedules.
• Operate cash registers and receive payments for goods purchased.
• Examine returned goods and report to managers for appropriate action.
• Ensure POS systems are in accordance with SOPs.
• Implement and maintain advertised sales promotions at POS.
• Ensure goods are correctly priced and displayed at POS.
• Participate in stock takes and stock counts.
• Minimize stock loss and expenses in your area of responsibility.
• Maximize sales in all areas of the store.
• Protect company assets in your area of responsibility.

Entry Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• 6 months of retail experience
• Must have own or reliable transport to work shifts

General

• Undertake any relevant duties requested by Senior Management.
• Complete all mandatory and service training as required.
• Maintain the strict confidentiality of all company information.
• Participate in regular appraisals and personal development reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with current SOPs.
• Cooperate fully in the introduction of new technology and methods.
