Job Description

As an Artisan Assistant, you will assist electricians and technicians with daily maintenance and various other tasks. You will be involved in troubleshooting, carrying out basic electrical duties, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Electrical Maintenance: Help with daily electrical maintenance and repairs, including the use of electrical hand tools (e.g., grinders, drills, test meters).
• Welding: Basic welding tasks may also be required.
• Cleaning: Clean cables and electrical equipment as part of the daily maintenance routine.
• Health and Safety: Comply with health and safety standards in the execution of work.
• Training: Opportunity to undergo further training toward qualification in the electrical field.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / NQF4
• Mechanical and Electrical Experience: Strong experience in both fields is essential, including troubleshooting capabilities.
• Trade Certificate (Advantageous): A valid trade certificate is beneficial.
• Knowledge & Skills: Basic knowledge of electricity and maintenance work.
