Overview
Glencore is looking for Accounts Payable Stewards to focus on the GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) cleanup, specifically for purchases prior to the COUPA system implementation. This role will involve detailed reconciliation, issue resolution, and reporting to ensure accurate and timely accounting.
Primary Tasks & Responsibilities
- GRNI Reconciliation: Review and resolve discrepancies between goods received and invoices in the system.
- Communication: Liaise with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely invoicing and resolve any discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable Processing: Ensure invoices are matched correctly to purchase orders and goods receipts.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and address issues with GRNI transactions, such as unprocessed invoices or under/over deliveries.
- Reporting: Generate GRNI aging reports and highlight potential risks for management.
- Month-End Closing: Assist with clearing GRNI accounts during the monthly closing process.
- Compliance: Ensure activities adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and legal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Finance or Accounting (e.g., AAT qualification or similar).
Experience & Skill Requirements
- Experience: At least 3 years in an Accounts Payable Steward role, with a focus on GRNI reconciliation.
- Industry: Experience with large-scale organizations operating across multiple locations in Africa.
- Software: Familiarity with ServiceNow and SAP.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to resolve complex discrepancies.
- Attention to Detail: Comfortable working with large volumes of data.
- Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to issue resolution.
