Purpose of the Role
The Sales Consultant will engage with customers to understand their needs, provide appropriate product and service solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. This role involves offering personalized recommendations and assisting customers throughout the entire sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply an appropriate sales process to build strong customer relationships and meet sales targets.
- Ensure excellent customer service and high satisfaction levels.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and guide them in their decision-making process.
- Provide tailored solutions through products and services.
- Identify new business opportunities by staying informed on market trends.
- Follow up on sales leads to close deals.
- Collaborate with the Department Manager and merchandisers on popular products.
- Maintain an outstanding store condition, including cleanliness, product availability, and visual merchandising.
- Assist customers throughout the entire project, from initial consultation to post-sale.
- Propose personalized solutions, including additional services like delivery and installation.
- Help maintain a fully stocked store to support the sales process.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Essential: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
Experience:
- Proven experience as a sales consultant (hardware experience is advantageous)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer service focus
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to use various sales channels (email, WhatsApp, phone)
- Ability to multi-task and manage a customer portfolio across all stages of the sales process
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and able to lead by example
