Purpose of the Role
As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, proposing the right products and services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service. You will engage with customers to provide personalized solutions, from product selection to post-sale services, while meeting sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply a structured sales process to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Meet sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and guide them in selecting products.
- Provide suitable solutions, including products and services such as delivery and installation.
- Identify new business opportunities by understanding market trends.
- Follow up on sales leads and liaise with the Department Manager and merchandisers to meet customer preferences.
- Ensure the store is well-maintained, including layout, cleanliness, pricing, and product availability.
- Participate in the department’s commercial action plan.
- Assist customers with their total project before, during, and after the sale.
- Maintain stock and ensure the store is fully stocked.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Essential: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
Experience:
- Proven experience as a sales consultant (hardware experience is advantageous)
