Role Purpose
As a Retail Business Consultant, your role is to build meaningful, long-lasting partnerships with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) by offering top-tier support, business analysis, and ongoing improvement of their business. You will be instrumental in increasing the value proposition for IFAs, strengthening relationships, and helping them achieve success.
Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:
- 3-year BCom degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or Legal (Essential)
- Willingness to study towards the degree with 3+ years of experience in MDS
- CFP® certification is an advantage

Experience:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry (Preferred)
- 1 to 3 years’ relevant sales experience (Essential)
- Familiarity with Momentum Myriad and Investo products is an advantage
- Strong business acumen and knowledge in risk assessments, claims, underwriting, tax, and business assurance
- Knowledge of financial services industry and insurance products (Preferred)
Key Responsibilities
Engage:
- Build visibility with IFAs to understand their needs and drive their value proposition.
- Visit IFA offices as per a defined plan and deliver relevant messages.
- Analyze, monitor, and increase prescribed weekly activities to exceed sales targets.
- Document all meetings, including the agenda and minutes.
Enthuse:
- Understand the IFA landscape, including competitors and critical moments.
- Develop long-lasting relationships with IFAs, turning them from non-active supporters to active advocates.
- Ensure Momentum’s value is communicated effectively to all IFAs.
Educate:
- Position Momentum as a thought leader in the industry.
- Be the IFA’s key source of information within Momentum.
- Provide innovative, reliable, and accountable business dealings.
- Facilitate better financial planning and advice outcomes for clients.
Enable:
- Help IFAs achieve their financial goals and exceed production targets.
- Support the IFA practice through ongoing business engagement.
