Role Purpose
Momentum Corporate’s Structured Solutions Team is looking for two highly analytical Actuarial Product Specialists (Graduate level) to assist in managing retail discretionary participation business. The role also involves supporting the development and management of corporate structured and guaranteed investments.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Actuarial Science (preferred but not essential)
- Passed at least six Core Principles actuarial subjects (A100 & A200)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and VBA (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of discretionary participation business, structured investments, and guaranteed investments
Key Responsibilities
- Manage retail discretionary participation business by evaluating and projecting assets and liabilities.
- Identify and implement improvements in discretionary participation book management.
- Develop corporate structured and guaranteed investments, including conducting quantitative analysis and preparing detailed product specifications.
- Recommend bonus rates for discretionary participation business (interim, final, claim, reversionary, or terminal).
- Update bonus philosophy and create new bonus smoothing formulae where necessary.
- Develop and review financial models to assess financial impacts.
- Ensure compliance with segment Principles and Practices of Financial Management (PPFM).
- Review legal documentation (client contracts, counterparty agreements, etc.).
- Mitigate financial, legal, and operational risks by enhancing governance processes.
- Provide actuarial, compliance, and performance reporting for discretionary participation business.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to analyze, supply, and interpret actuarial data.
- Lead actuarial projects and resolve technical queries within deadlines.
