Job Purpose
The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating 1Life’s sales functions, including sales support, training, national sales, and key account sales. The role ensures that sales teams meet business objectives while complying with internal and external policies.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Performance Management
- Guide and motivate the sales agents to align their performance with business strategy and objectives.
- Monitor team performance, allocate tasks, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Conduct performance reviews and appraisals to enhance productivity.
Sales Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement effective sales campaigns to drive revenue growth.
- Oversee key account sales and national sales initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data.
Organizational Capability Building
- Identify skills gaps within the team and implement training and development plans.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to sales agents.
- Encourage continuous learning and industry best practices.
Compliance & Reporting
- Monitor compliance with company policies, FSCA regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify and report non-compliance issues and escalate where necessary.
- Collect and analyze sales data to generate actionable insights for business improvement.

- Financial & Insurance Knowledge – Understanding of long-term insurance products and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)
- FAIS Recognised Qualification or Wealth Management Qualification (Essential)
- RE 5 (Advantageous)
- Degree/Diploma in Business Management (Advantageous)
Experience
- 3+ years in a sales and advisory environment (Essential)
- 2+ years of experience in Long-term Insurance (Essential)
- 3+ years of managerial experience supervising a sales team (Essential)
