Job Purpose
The Marketer will represent AFGRI Equipment, focusing on the marketing and sales of tractors and farming implements. This involves engaging with farmers to assess their needs, introduce relevant products, and manage the full sales process, including demonstrations and participation in agricultural shows and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Marketing: Market and sell John Deere tractors, combines, and other agricultural equipment.
- Client Interaction: Visit farmers to assess their needs and introduce relevant products.
- Demonstrations: Provide product demonstrations of AFGRI equipment to potential customers.
- Administration: Handle procurement, stock control, and reporting functions.
- Shows & Events: Participate in agricultural days, shows, and promotional events to showcase products.
Requirements
Education/Training
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (Advantageous)
Experience
- 3 years in business, sales, and marketing with John Deere equipment or similar agricultural machinery.
- Strong experience in client service and the marketing of agricultural equipment.
Skills

Technical:
- Valid driver’s license
- Technical knowledge of AFGRI equipment and agriculture
- Good communication skills for clear presentations and negotiations

- Willingness to travel and work under various environmental conditions
