Job Purpose
The Drivers will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently, ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained, and supervising and assisting with loading. Additionally, the driver will perform daily inspection checks and report any defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Goods: Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.
- Vehicle Packing: Ensure the vehicle is neatly packed and prevent damages or breakages.
- Loading Assistance: Supervise and assist with loading.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform daily inspection checks on the vehicle and report any defects.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the vehicle in a good condition to reduce operational costs.
- Supply Management: Ensure the correct quantities and supplies are delivered.
- Delivery Notes: Obtain authorization for delivery notes and collect COD monies.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support.
- Company Values: Uphold and promote the company’s values and culture.
Requirements
Education/Training
- Grade 12
Licenses
- Code 10 (Heavy Vehicle)
- Code 8 (Light Vehicle) (<3500kg)
Experience
- 2 years of relevant driving experience.
