Job Purpose
The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions, handling payments, balancing the till, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining the company’s values and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers and provide assistance as needed.
- Transaction Processing: Ring up purchases and accept various payment methods.
- Receipts & Till Balancing: Issue accurate receipts and ensure daily till balancing.
- Product Knowledge: Provide basic information on building materials when required.
- Public Relations: Maintain a friendly and professional approach to customers.
Requirements
Education/Training
- Grade 12
Experience
- 2 – 3 years of cashier experience (advantageous).
- Building material product knowledge (preferred).
Skills/Competencies
- Proficiency in English (spoken & written).
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Polite, helpful, and customer-focused attitude.
