🎯 Role Overview
As a Truck Driver at PG Group, your main duties will include:
✅ Delivering and collecting glass products from various customers
✅ Ensuring safe transportation of glass products, with a focus on quality standards
✅ Completing all necessary paperwork and trip sheets
🔹 Key Responsibilities
🚚 Safe and Efficient Deliveries
✔ Deliver and collect glass products to and from customers in Cape Town
✔ Ensure accurate record-keeping of delivery documents
✔ Perform quality checks before loading and unloading glass
🛠 Vehicle and Maintenance Responsibilities
✔ Maintain the cleanliness and safety of your truck at all times
✔ Regularly monitor the vehicle’s condition and report any faults immediately
✔ Ensure the truck is ready for daily operations and weekly inspections
💼 Customer and Company Relations
✔ Build strong working relationships with customers and team members
✔ Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
✔ Follow all company policies, including environmental, safety, and housekeeping standards
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
✔ Matric / Grade 12
✔ Code 10 or higher valid driver’s license with PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
Experience & Knowledge
✔ Minimum of 2 years driving experience
✔ Experience in handling and transporting dangerous goods and glass products
✔ Knowledge of glass handling procedures and quality control
✔ Ability to read drawings and production orders
Skills & Competencies
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Strong numerical and analytical skills
✔ Ability to work in fast-paced, pressurized environments
✔ High physical and mental energy levels
