Overview
Anglo American Platinum is seeking a dedicated Patrolperson to join our security team at our Kroondal operation. As a Patrolperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the protection of employees and assets while conducting crime prevention and emergency response duties. This is a critical role in maintaining security standards, identifying breaches, and providing a safe and secure working environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
- Security Services: Apply recognized security standards and procedures to safeguard employees and company assets.
- Patrolling: Conduct routine patrols on foot or vehicle to monitor security conditions and gather intelligence for risk management.
- Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and emergencies, taking appropriate actions to ensure safety and compliance.
- Access Control: Perform access control duties to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure the security of restricted areas.
- Reporting: Report security issues, irregularities, and incidents to supervisors and maintain clear communication with team members.
- Risk Management: Support the identification and mitigation of security risks, contributing to overall safety management strategies.
- Incident Reporting: Take appropriate action for any identified breaches, including arresting transgressors and providing evidence during inquiries.
- Teamwork: Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration while maintaining a professional and alert presence at all times.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- PSIRA Grade C registration.
- Driver’s License (advantageous).
- Certificate of Fitness.
- No criminal record and must pass a polygraph test.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in the security industry (advantageous).
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken, written, and reading).
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and enforce safety protocols.
- Knowledge of crime prevention and emergency response procedures.
- Previous experience in patrol duties, access control, and risk management.
