PPC is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Operational Trainer to help develop employees by equipping them with the necessary skills to meet their goals effectively and safely. This role will require travel between different PPC operations to facilitate training interventions and ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.

🎯 Role Overview
As an Operational Trainer, you will be responsible for:
✔ Designing, customizing, and delivering training interventions to improve employee competency levels
✔ Ensuring employees are trained in compliance with legal requirements and company standards
✔ Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training and performance standards
🔹 Key Responsibilities
📚 Training Design & Delivery
✔ Design, customize, and prepare training material for employees
✔ Organize and prepare training rooms and materials for training sessions
✔ Review course content and objectives, ensuring the training meets employee needs
✔ Deliver practical assessments on equipment operation and safety standards
📝 Competency Management
✔ Assess and sign off competencies in various plant operations, ensuring skills and knowledge are up to standard
✔ Conduct moderation of assessments, providing feedback and re-planning training as needed
✔ Maintain competency records and update individual development plans
📊 Reporting & Admin
✔ Perform administrative tasks such as data capturing, gap analysis, and tracking competency levels
✔ Compile detailed reports on training progress, training costs, and man hours
✔ Ensure that training solutions are aligned with Standard Operating Procedures and regularly updated
🤝 Collaboration & Leadership
✔ Build relationships with line managers to understand business needs and tailor training solutions
✔ Collaborate with engineering and risk departments to incorporate safety standards into training content
✔ Provide feedback and recognition to trainees, fostering a positive learning environment
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
✔ Senior Certificate (Matric)
✔ OD: ETDP Diploma
✔ Accredited Assessor and Moderator Certification
✔ FETC in Burning Carbonated Materials
Experience & Knowledge
✔ 5+ years experience in a clinker/cement manufacturing plant or similar process
✔ 2+ years as an operational trainer with proven facilitation skills
✔ In-depth knowledge of plant operations, including conveyor belt safety, low voltage equipment resetting, and trackless mobile machinery
✔ Coaching and presentation skills
✔ Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and related administrative tools
