Key Responsibilities:
✅ HSE Management System Implementation & Coordination
- Develop, implement, and review HSEQ policies aligned with industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Maestro Standards Frameworks.
- Continuously improve TotalGaz Southern Africa’s HSEQ Management System (ONE MAESTRO & MAESTRO Log).
- Promote a strong HSEQ culture across all business operations.
✅ Contractor Safety & Compliance Management
- Work with procurement and project teams to assess and qualify contractors.
- Review safety plans, risk assessments, and certifications to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct HSE training & orientation sessions for contractors.
- Monitor contractor performance and enforce safety policies.
✅ Incident Investigation & Risk Management
- Conduct investigations on accidents, near misses, and safety breaches.
- Determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare incident reports and update REX trackers.
✅ Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management
- Oversee emergency response planning and crisis room procedures.
- Execute emergency preparedness responsibilities as per appointment letter guidelines.
✅ HSE Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate HSEQ records, including non-conformances, audits, and risk assessments.
- Prepare monthly reports for HSE committees.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
✅ Qualifications:
- Professional certification in HSEQ (e.g., Safety Officer, Risk Management, Environmental Compliance).
✅ Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience in Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), or Quality roles.
- Strong understanding of local, regional, and national HSE regulations.
- Risk assessment and hazard analysis experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and documentation software.
