Job Overview
RCL FOODS is looking for an experienced Stores Supervisor to join the Baking Division in Pretoria West. This role involves managing and maintaining the engineering store, ensuring stock availability, and overseeing store operations according to best practices.
Minimum Requirements
✔ Diploma or Certificate in Warehouse/Stores Management
✔ 5 years’ experience in an engineering store environment
✔ 2 years’ experience managing a team
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Store Operations & Materials Management
- Oversee receiving, issuing, and disposal of stock per company procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock binning
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and reorder when necessary
- Conduct cycle counts and stock reconciliations regularly
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ procedures and RCL ethical standards
- Track and report stock variances, theft, and losses
- Improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain records for protective clothing issued to personnel
- Manage slow-moving stock to prevent excessive inventory
2️⃣ Store Team Supervision
- Ensure the stores team provides professional service to business units
- Set and communicate key performance indicators
- Supervise and support team members to achieve operational goals
- Oversee time management, leave approvals, and attendance tracking
- Conduct performance appraisals and training programs
- Manage employee relations and disciplinary procedures
3️⃣ Safety, Health, Environment, & Quality (SHEQ)
- Implement and enforce security systems to safeguard stock
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and HACCP/ISO standards
- Conduct staff training on safe store practices
- Maintain proper housekeeping at all times
4️⃣ Reporting & Spend Monitoring
- Provide monthly inventory and stock reports
- Track and report expired, redundant, and out-of-stock items
- Highlight unusual inventory volumes and spending trends
