Job Overview

The Risk Management Internship will offer hands-on experience in supporting the implementation of an enterprise-wide risk management framework and promoting internal controls within the Electoral Commission. The intern will work alongside the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, gaining expertise in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in facilitating the implementation of a transparent and efficient risk management framework.
  • Support the integration of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) throughout the organization.
  • Help in identifying and assessing risks across various departments and functions.
  • Aid in the development of risk management strategies and internal controls.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating risk management processes.
  • Prepare and assist with reports and documentation related to risk management.
  • Participate in the training and awareness programs for risk management across the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders to promote risk management practices.
  • If holding a foreign qualification, provide a SAQA evaluation certificate.
