Job Overview
The Legal Services Internship offers an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in legal projects within a government organization. The intern will gain exposure to a wide range of legal services activities, assisting the Legal Services team in the coordination and implementation of legal initiatives. The role reports directly to the Deputy Manager: Legal Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating legal services and provide support in various legal projects within the organization.
- Help in drafting legal documents, research, and analyzing legal issues relevant to the Electoral Commission.
- Support in compliance and governance-related matters, providing legal insights to enhance the efficiency of the organization.
- Assist with handling contracts, legal opinions, and other legal matters as directed by senior legal staff.
- Participate in legal research and ensure all legal documents are accurate and meet organizational standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Law or a related field.
- Good understanding of legal principles and the ability to interpret legislation.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- If holding a foreign qualification, provide a SAQA evaluation certificate.
