Job Overview
G4S Cash Solutions (SA) is looking for a Cash Centre Teller in Port Elizabeth. The position involves managing the distribution, counting, balancing, and reconciling of cash in line with company procedures. The role requires someone who can maintain high standards of security and adhere to strict operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Management
- Effectively manage cash bags and containers.
- Count, balance, pack, and reconcile customer cash.
- Ensure accurate processing and tracking of customer deposits.
- Verify bulk money and balance transaction totals.
- Support the preparation of customer coin and cash orders.
Operational Excellence
- Adhere to policies and procedures for all tasks.
- Operate various high-speed equipment in cash processing.
- Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in customer cash.
- Cross-train in multiple processes to support all cash processing services.
Health and Safety
- Participate in safety forums and report safety incidents.
- Attend compliance and role-specific training.
- Always wear protective clothing as required.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 with mathematics or accounting.
- 1 – 3 years relevant experience as a teller.
- Sound understanding of basic financial principles.
Skills and Abilities
- Computer literacy and strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Security-conscious with strict adherence to company policies.
- Teamwork and flexibility to work weekends when required.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving heavy containers.
