Job Overview
G4S Cash Solutions (SA) is seeking a Tactical Support Unit member based at its operations in East London. This role involves providing high-risk surveillance and escorting high-risk vehicles in high-risk areas. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Security Manager and be expected to adhere to company policies while responding to potential risks and ensuring security.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Surveillance & Escort
- Perform risk surveillance for various branches based on received alerts.
- Escort high-risk vehicles to clients, including long-distance trips (e.g., Polokwane or other regions).
- Respond to intelligence/ investigations regarding possible attacks, using both reactive and proactive measures.
- Conduct risk assessments at client sites and provide detailed reports to the Regional Security Manager (RSM).
Road Checks & Vehicle Security
- Perform random vehicle checks outside or at base, covering allocated areas and assessing security risks.
- Execute branch opening and closing procedures, including security checks on the fleet, vaults, and safes.
- Generate and submit detailed reports about vehicle security and compliance.
Investigation Support
- Act on tip-offs and provide support for investigations, particularly regarding robberies.
- Conduct ATM audits when necessary as part of audit investigations.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental safety plans.
- Participate in safety forums and comply with safety policies at the workplace.
- Wear protective clothing at all times and follow all safety procedures.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 education.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- PSIRA Grades certification.
- CIT Experience and Auditing Course preferred.
- Firearm Competency required.
