TWK Agri is a leading company in the agricultural sector, offering innovative solutions across various divisions. We are currently looking for a Marketer (Timber) to join our Timber Division in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify market demands for mining timber, pulpwood, and saw timber
- Conduct market research and assess current industry trends
- Analyze competitor products to identify new opportunities
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies for timber sales
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and accounts teams to drive growth
- Provide expert consultation to customers to enhance sales
- Identify and engage prospective clients and new market segments
- Process customer orders efficiently, ensuring client satisfaction
- Cross-sell and up-sell timber products to existing customers, including TWK operations
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Address client queries and assist in problem resolution
- Support Certification and Chain of Custody (COC) implementation with suppliers
- Coordinate orders, quality control, and production requirements with timber mills
- Provide monthly and quarterly forecasts for timber production
- Arrange logistics and transport for timber products to market
- Assist with fire duty during fire season and work outdoors as required
- Prepare and manage annual budgets
Requirements
- National Diploma in Forestry / BTech (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the forestry industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Bilingual: Fluent in Afrikaans & English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work after hours when necessary
