Job Overview
The Fitment Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of fitment quality and maintenance within Fidelity Secure Drive. This includes overseeing fitment-related issues, maintaining resources, and ensuring vehicle, tool, and uniform standards are upheld. The role requires addressing customer queries, assisting with vehicle installations, and implementing industry-standard fitment techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain resources:
🔧 Safekeeping of tools, ensuring clean and roadworthy vehicles, and completing regular stock takes.
🚗 Ensure vehicles are clean, in good condition, and meet roadworthiness standards.
👕 Maintain a professional and presentable uniform as per PSIRA requirements. - Fitment Support:
🔹 Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of tracking systems.
🔹 Ensure all installations meet OEM guidelines and are completed within deadlines.
🔹 Provide product support on-site and remotely for clients. - Quality & Compliance:
💼 Ensure that all fitment work adheres to company policies and PSIRA regulations.
🔧 Assist with technical evaluations and repairs while upholding fitment quality standards.
📝 Resolve technical and client queries related to fitment. - Skill Development & Reporting:
📚 Attend training and continuously develop skills.
📊 Provide comprehensive feedback to internal stakeholders.
⚙️ On-the-job coaching for technicians when needed.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Matric
- Driver’s License (Code B)
- PSIRA Grade C
- Clear Criminal Record
- Trade test in motor electrical/electronics or related field preferred
- Auto-electrician qualification advantageous
- 6-10 years’ experience in the fitment of vehicle tracking systems
