Job Overview
G4S Cash Solutions (SA) is hiring for a Driver position in East London. The role requires engaging in the guarding and handling of valuables in transit and driving a vehicle as part of cash management services. The role will report to the Branch Manager and requires specific certifications for firearms handling. A valid medical certificate for firearm use will be required before employment commences.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle and Security Management
- Drive responsibly and comply with traffic regulations.
- Inspect and maintain the vehicle, ensuring all equipment is operational.
- Conduct vehicle audits, checklists, and report any incidents to the branch.
- Perform control functions for scheduled trips, ensuring all protocols are followed.
- Report any immobilization or issues to control immediately.
- Maintain a high level of security awareness and vigilance throughout the process.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Participate in safety forums and adhere to company safety procedures.
- Report all safety incidents and attend safety education sessions.
- Wear protective clothing and comply with all safety policies.
Ideal Candidate
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Valid PSIRA Certification
- Valid PDP License
- CIT Certificate and SAPS Firearm Competency for business purposes
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-risk environment
- Teamwork-oriented and adheres strictly to policies and procedures
