Job Description

NTK Retail is seeking a Cashier to manage daily transactions at the store, ensuring a smooth and professional checkout experience for customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cash and card payments, assisting customers, and performing back-office administrative tasks related to sales. This position requires someone who is energetic, accurate, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

πŸ”Ή Cash Handling & Payment Processing – Administer and control all transactions at the pay point, including cash, credit/debit cards, and vouchers.
πŸ”Ή Customer Service – Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
πŸ”Ή Receipts Management – Process and record transactions accurately, including issuing receipts and maintaining an organized sales register.
πŸ”Ή Daily Reconciliation & Banking – Balance the till at the end of each shift, perform cash-ups, and deposit money as per company policies.
πŸ”Ή Back-Office Administration – Assist with processing receipts, maintaining records, and handling any discrepancies.

Minimum Requirements

βœ” Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF 4 qualification
βœ” Basic numeracy skills – Ability to perform accurate calculations quickly
βœ” Good communication skills – Professional, friendly, and approachable
βœ” Honest and trustworthy – Strong integrity and ethical conduct
βœ” Fast-paced and energetic – Ability to multitask efficiently

Required Skills & Competencies
