Job Overview

The Mobile Device and Data Administrator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of mobile contracts and devices within the company. This includes the ordering, provisioning, configuration, and management of mobile devices, SIM cards, and data. The role requires excellent administrative skills, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring top-level service for internal customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Mobile Device Management:
    📱 Manage the ordering, dispensing, and setup of mobile devices, including software testing and enrolment.
    🔧 Troubleshoot and support mobile devices and SIM cards, ensuring continuous functionality.
  • Stock & Delivery Management:
    📦 Handle stock management, including ordering and provisioning new devices and contracts.
    🚚 Manage incoming and outgoing stock deliveries.
    📝 Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on device and SIM usage.
  • Training & Support:
    📚 Develop training materials and manuals for troubleshooting.
    🎓 Provide support nationwide to all users, including traveling to branches for on-site assistance.
  • Helpdesk & Troubleshooting:
    🔧 Complete helpdesk service calls.
    📶 Troubleshoot disconnected SIM cards and devices.
  • Operational Tasks:
    📅 Coordinate day-to-day operational tasks and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Clear criminal record with no pending cases
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a mobile administrator
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of mobile device management software (e.g., Intune, Manage Engine)
  • Understanding of mobile network operators and SIM card provisioning
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Own reliable transport required for site visits
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Willingness to work standby, overtime, and shift work as required
  • Ability to handle stress and work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
