Position Overview
The Workshop Foreman at Hyundai Meadowdale will ensure that services and repairs are carried out to the highest quality standards to achieve customer satisfaction. The role involves supervising a team of technicians, ensuring the efficient use of materials, tools, and labor resources, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Repair and Service
- Repair and service motor vehicles in accordance with specific or franchise specifications.
- Establish and order necessary parts for repairs and services.
- Report promptly to the Foreman/Service Advisor regarding additional work required.
- Work Process Management
- Ensure that work is performed according to AMH workshop policies and procedures.
- Ensure all oils and consumables used are recorded on the job card.
- Ensure hours worked are clocked correctly.
- Keep vehicles and work areas clean and tidy, using seat and fender covers.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide staff in the use of equipment and tools to diagnose and repair vehicle faults.
- Provide technical information and support to other team members.
- Oversee apprentices, providing mentorship and technical knowledge to improve their skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workshop standards.
- Equipment and Tool Management
- Ensure the correct use of tools and equipment, and report any faulty or broken equipment to the Foreman/Workshop Manager.
- Ensure that hand tools conform to AMH standards.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensure all old parts are properly disposed of or returned (except in warranty cases).
- Handle technical issues, obtain authorizations for additional work, and maintain proper job card records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification: Qualified Technician.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Workshop Foreman or in a similar role within the automotive industry.

- In-depth knowledge of vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and mentor a team effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
