Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Cashier Duties

  • Process cash and card payments at the till point.
  • Handle Lay Bys, customer refunds, and other transaction-related tasks.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate till balancing as required.

Merchandising

  • Ensure that stock is correctly priced and displayed.
  • Monitor product availability and assist with restocking.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards by keeping the sales floor tidy and organized.
  • Keep up to date with in-store promotions.

Risk Management

  • Ensure that products are tagged according to company policy.
  • Participate in stock takes and maintain inventory control.
  • Stay vigilant for shoplifters and report any suspicious activities to management.

Adherence to Company Values

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Fluent communication in English (knowledge of any additional languages is an advantage).

Experience

  • Previous retail experience is advantageous but not required.
