Position Overview
The Packaging Controller will be responsible for overseeing administrative tasks related to the production and packaging processes, ensuring compliance with procedures, and assisting with reporting and monitoring production efficiency. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Tasks & Compliance
- Ensure governance of general administrative tasks in the packaging area.
- Confirm production orders, perform bulk verification, and track machine labor hours.
- Ensure compliance with all ICC (Internal Control Compliance) processes and procedures.
- Execute OPI Nona (Operational Performance Indicators) administration and assist with budget preparations.
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports on unplanned downtime, material losses, and write-offs.
Production Monitoring & Reporting
- Assist with Mini Businesses in Production and monitor production order variances.
- Coordinate a collaborative approach with various teams to improve efficiency.
- Work with the MDWT (Multi-Disciplinary Work Team) in production tasks.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (essential).
- Supply Chain or relevant Diploma (essential).
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a production or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment (essential).
- Knowledge of SAP ERP within a packaging environment is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced MS Excel required).
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Effective time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills to ensure task completion.
- Innovative, self-driven, and able to perform under pressure.
