Job Overview
Unitrans seeks a dedicated and physically fit General Worker to handle various housekeeping and logistical duties, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficient operations. The role involves manual tasks, cleaning, and supporting operational activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4.
- Health & Fitness: Medically fit and capable of physically demanding tasks (e.g., lifting, bending, pushing, pulling repetitively).
- Reliability: Own reliable transport to and from work.
- Work Conditions:
- Available for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Clean criminal record.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery for cleaning.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, including safe storage and disposal practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation to perform tasks independently.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Housekeeping and Cleaning
- Clean entire premises, ensuring a tidy and organized environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor walkways, ensuring they are free of debris.
- Support Office Operations
- Assist office staff by preparing tea and maintaining pantry cleanliness.
- Logistical Tasks
- Load and offload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Package Zirsill products as per operational requirements.
- Safety Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards.
- Handle all tasks in a safe manner, ensuring the well-being of self and team members.
