Job Description

Cape Town Multifranchise is currently seeking two Light Vehicle Drivers to join their team. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong ability to plan their day, provide excellent customer service, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.


Position Overview

The Driver will be responsible for the accurate collection and delivery of parts. The successful candidate will also ensure the vehicle is maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition, and will adhere to safety and road regulations while driving.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Driving and Delivery:
    • Responsible for the accurate collection and delivery of parts.
    • Ensure that the vehicle is driven in compliance with traffic and road safety regulations.
    • Maintain high customer service standards during deliveries and collections.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
    • Ensure that the vehicle is cleaned, fueled, and in a roadworthy condition at all times.
    • Book and carry out vehicle services, keeping the logbook updated with mileage and maintenance details.
    • Ensure that vehicle licensing is renewed annually.
    • Report any vehicle incidents such as traffic fines, breakdowns, or damage in a timely manner.
    • Conduct regular vehicle checks for damage, defects, missing parts, and ensure spare wheels and spanners are present.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department.
    • Work overtime as reasonably requested.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Education:
    • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Experience:
    • Previous driving experience within the motor trade is advantageous.

Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Core Competencies:
    • Computer literacy and good administrative skills.
    • Multi-tasking ability and good communication skills.
    • Valid driver’s license with no endorsements.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong attention to detail and responsibility for vehicle maintenance.
    • Professional and customer-oriented approach to work.
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
