About the Role
TWK Agri is seeking a qualified Millwright for its Grain division to manage grain storage facilities in and around Piet Retief, Mpumalanga. This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of grain handling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance:
- Install new grain handling equipment as per specifications.
- Perform regular maintenance to ensure efficient operations.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
- Execute preventative maintenance to reduce costly downtime.
- Safety & Inspections:
- Adhere to safety protocols and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Conduct scheduled inspections with depot managers to assess maintenance needs.
- Collaboration & Planning:
- Work closely with team members to optimize efficiency.
- Plan material requirements for maintenance and installations.
Requirements
- Education:
- Matric/Grade 12.
- Qualified Millwright with a Red Seal certification.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar millwright role.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of industrial grain handling equipment and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Mechanical fabrication skills (advantageous).
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Other:
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to work overtime, especially during breakdowns or urgent maintenance needs.
